Climatic Testing for Maximum Product Safety and Reliability
Whether in aerospace, automotive, railway, or energy engineering, technical devices are exposed to extreme environmental challenges: heat, cold, humidity, thermal shocks, or rapid transitions between these conditions. We support you in validating the durability and product life of your components under real-world environmental conditions, thereby sustainably increasing the reliability of your products.
Climatic tests are designed to simulate the effects of natural environmental conditions on products or materials under controlled laboratory conditions. It evaluates how temperature, humidity, and air pressure affect functionality and longevity.
Our testing infrastructure
- 16 climate chambers (volume: 0,2 m³ to 34 m³)
- Temperature range: -70 °C to +180 °C
- Humidity range: 10 % to 98 %
- Temperature gradient up to 12 K/min
- 3 thermal shock chambers with transfer times < 10 s
- Condensation water test chambers (300 l)
- Low- and high-pressure test chambers (100 mbar to 1. 400 mbar absolute)
- Capability for electrical operation and functional monitoring
- Accredited test reports in accordance with ISO 17025
Temperature testing
- Constant temperature testing: Functional and storage tests to verify performance at low and high temperatures
- Thermal cycling and thermal shock testing: Demonstrate resilience against thermal stress and rapid temperature changes
- Long-term storage testing: Assessment of lifetime reliability
Temperature-humidity testing
- Constant humidity testing: Assessment of long-term stability and electrical safety (e.g. risk of short-circuit)
- Cyclic humidity testing: Detect condensation risks and corrosions behavior under changing climatic conditions
Altitude testing
- Evaluation of performance at high altitudes (with reduced cooling efficiency)
