Assessment of Safety-relevant Software

The assessment of safety-related software has become an increasingly important aspect of testing and approval for functional safety in recent years. The safety demands placed on software components incorporated in safety-related control systems have risen dramatically due to the increasing migration of safety functionality into the software. The structure of the software, the software measures and techniques for avoiding and controlling faults and failure modes, have become a permanent part of the testing, e.g. to IEC 61511-1.

We offer assessment of safety-related software for application sectors or to IEC 61508-3 and overall consulting on the safety-related life cycle. We also perform calculations and allocations of failure probabilities (PFH - Probability of Failure per Hour) for safety-related functions to IEC 62061 or EN ISO 13849-1.
