Einrichtungen der Informationstechnik - Störfestigkeitseigenschaften - Grenzwerte und Prüfverfahren Information technology equipment - Immunity characteristics - Limits and methods of measurement Zweck dieser Norm ist die Festlegung von Anforderungen, die einen ausreichenden Grad an Störfestigkeit sicherstellen, so dass die Einrichtung wie vorgesehen in ihrer Umgebung funktioniert. Die Publikation legt für die in ihrem Anwendungsbereich beschriebenen Einrichtungen Prüfanforderungen zur Störfestigkeit in Bezug auf andauernde und kurzzeitige (impulsförmige) leitungsgeführte und gestrahlte Störgrößen einschließlich der Entladungen statischer Elektrizität fest. Verfahren für die Prüfung von ITE und (Störfestigkeits-)Grenzwerte für ITE werden im Frequenzbereich von 0 Hz bis 400 GHz festgelegt. Bei außerordentlichen Umgebungsbedingungen können besondere Abhilfemaßnahmen erforderlich sein. Als Ergebnis von Beratungen über die Prüfung und Funktionsbewertung werden einige Prüfungen nur für definierte Frequenzbänder oder für ausgewählte Frequenzen festgelegt. Es wird angenommen, dass Einrichtungen, die die Anforderungen bei diesen Frequenzen erfüllen, die Anforderungen im gesamten Frequenzbereich von 0 Hz bis 400 GHz in Bezug auf elektromagnetische Störgrößen erfüllen. The object of this publication is to establish requirements that will provide an adequate level of intrinsic immunity so that the equipment will operate as intended in its environment. The publication defines the immunity test requirements for equipment within its scope in relation to continuous and transient conducted and radiated disturbances, including electrostatic discharges (ESD). Procedures are defined for the measurement of ITE and limits are specified which are developed for ITE within the frequency range from 0 Hz to 400 GHz. For exceptional environmental conditions, special mitigation measures may be required. Owing to testing and performance assessment considerations, some tests are specified in defined frequency bands or at selected frequencies. Equipment which fulfils the requirements at these frequencies is deemed to fulfil the requirements in the entire frequency range from 0 Hz to 400 GHz for electromagnetic phenomena. The test requirements are specified for each port considered.

This leads to the definition of the “PLT port”, which is not yet defined in CISPR 22 Ed. 5.2 (2006). This CD deals with measurement methods and emission limits for power line telecommunications (PLT) devices connected to the mains at the customer premises. These PLT devices may establish network termination or provide local connections to other PLT devices connected at the same premises. They are called “Indoor” PLT devices.

It does not specify the signal modulation methods nor the coding methods nor functional features. Environmental requirements and tests are not included. The immunity requirements have been selected so as to ensure an adequate level of immunity for apparatus at residential, commercial and light industrial premises (Class I environment), and industrial premises supplied from a dedicated HV/MV or MV/LV transformers (Class 2 environment). The seventy levels required by this standard may not cover extreme cases which may occur in any location but with a low probability of occurrence. In special cases situations will arise where the level of disturbances may exceed the levels specified in this standard (e.g. where a hand-held transmitter is used in proximity to an apparatus). In these instances special mitigation measures may be required.

Die in 3.5 definierten digitalen Einrichtungen sowie Bau-gruppen und Einschübe, siehe 6.3, sind ebenfalls eingeschlossen.  Störaussendungen im Frequenzbereich von 0 Hz bis 400 GHz sind berücksichtigt, jedoch sind nicht über den gesamten Frequenzbereich Anforderungen festgelegt. This European Standard for EMC immunity requirements applies to professional audio, video, audio-visual and entertainment lighting control apparatus as defined in 3.6 intended for use in the environments described in Clause 4. This ETS also makes reference to safety and EMC standards which are in accordance with the relevant European and international standards. This ETS aims at providing compatibility between the power supply equipment and the power consuming telecommunications equipment, and also between different load units connected to the same power supply.

It also contains the technical specifications, administrative requirements and other conditions relating to the marketing of part 15 devices. (b) The operation of an intentional or unintentional radiator that is not in accordance with the regulations in this part must be licensed pursuant to the provisions of section 301 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, unless otherwise exempted from the licensing requirements elsewhere in this chapter. (c) Unless specifically exempted, the operation or marketing of an intentional or unintentional radiator that is not in compliance with the administrative and technical provisions in this part, including prior Commission authorization or verification, as appropriate, is prohibited under section 302 of the Communications Act of 1934, as amended, and subpart I of part 2 of this chapter. The equipment authorization and verification procedures are detailed in subpart J of part 2 of this chapter.

-- Electromagnetic Compatibility and Electrical Safety - Generic Criteria for Network Telecommunications Equipment. -- This Generic Requirements document (GR) presents the Telcordia and participating industry representatives’ view of proposed generic criteria covering Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) and electrical safety necessary for equipment to perform reliably and safely in a network environment of a typical telecommunications service provider. This single reference document contains EMC and electrical safety criteria for equipment used at Central Offices (COs); equipment placed in Outside Plant (OSP) at locations such as Controlled Environmental Vaults (CEVs), Electronic Equipment Enclosures (EEEs), and huts; equipment located in uncontrolled structures such as cabinets; and network equipment located at customer premises. Telecommunications equipment, by nature of its application in the telecommunications network, may be exposed to one or more sources of electromagnetic energy. The system-level generic criteria for EMC presented in the following sections are intended to help avoid equipment damage and malfunction because of lightning, 60-Hz commercial power fault conditions, Electrostatic Discharge (ESD), Electrical Fast Transient (EFT), Electromagnetic Interference (EMI), operation in the presence of a dc potential difference, and operation in a steady-state induced voltage environment. This document also presents other criteria intended to help establish that equipment will not become a fire or electrical safety hazard in the presence of severe lightning or 60-Hz commercial power fault conditions. Safe voltage levels for intentionally applied sources, electrochemical corrosion effects, grounding, and dc powering are considered as well.

The test method documented in this part of IEC 61000 describes a consistent method to assess the immunity of an equipment or system against a defined phenomenon. This standard defines: – a range of test levels; – test equipment; – test setups; – test procedures. The task of the described laboratory test is to find the reaction of the equipment under test (EUT) under specified operational conditions to surge voltages caused by switching and lightning effects.
ITU-T (CCITT) Rec. K.20 (2015) -- Resistibility of telecommunication switching equipment to overvoltages and overcurrents - This Recommendation specifies resistibility requirements and test procedures for equipment installed in a telecommunication centre where the earthing, bonding and cabling between equipment/racks is in accordance with [ITU-T K.27]. This Recommendation applies to both external and internal ports. [ITU-T K.44] is an integral part of this Recommendation and should be read in conjunction with [ITU-T K.11], [ITU-T K.39] and [ITU-T K.46]. This Recommendation applies to all telecommunication equipment, whether network operator or customer owned, including telephony, routers and modems, etc. It does not apply to personal computers and printers, etc.
ITU-T (CCITT) Rec. K.21 (2015) -- Resistibility of subscriber terminals to overvoltages and overcurrents - This Recommendation specifies resistibility requirements and test procedures for telecommunication equipment which is attached to or installed within a customers' premises. The requirements of this Recommendation assume that earthing and bonding is in accordance with [ITU-T K.66]. The types of equipment covered by this Recommendation include all types of telecommunication equipment, e.g., modems, telephones, routers, implementations of digital subscriber lines and personal computers. NOTE – Associated equipment containing ports with a low surge impedance to earth connected by short cables, e.g., printers using universal serial bus (USB) cables, may be susceptible to damage due to circulating earth currents. Refer to [ITU-T K.66] and [b-ITU-T K.85] for methods of protection. This Recommendation applies to both external and internal ports. [ITU-T K.44], covering basic test methods and test circuits, is an integral part of this Recommendation and should be read in conjunction with [ITU-T K.11] and [ITU-T K.39].
ITU-T (CCITT) Rec. K.43 (2009) -- Immunity requirements for telecommunication equipment - This Recommendation specifies the immunity requirements for equipment used within the public telecommunication networks and for terminal equipment connected to such networks. This Recommendation is a product family Recommendation. This Recommendation gives the minimum test levels applicable in a given environment. The requirements given in specific product family Recommendations supersede those given in this Recommendation. This Recommendation is applicable to all equipment types: – equipment in the telecommunication networks, including switching equipment, transmission equipment, radio equipment, power supply equipment, supervisory equipment and control equipment; – terminal equipment connected to telecommunication networks, including telephone set, facsimile and PBX; – terminal equipment that uses the LV AC network for telecommunications (i.e., PLT devices). This Recommendation includes immunity requirements in the frequency range: • 150 kHz-80 MHz for conducted immunity; • 80-2700 MHz for radiated immunity. Other frequency ranges are covered by other K series of ITU-T Recommendations, e.g., [b-ITU-T K.76] for the 9-150 kHz frequency range.
ITU-T (CCITT) Rec. K.44 (2012) -- Resistibility test for telecommunication equipment exposed to overvoltages and overcurrents - This basic Recommendation describes resistibility tests for all telecommunication equipment against overvoltages and overcurrents for use by network operators and manufacturers. This Recommendation applies to all telecommunication equipment connected to external or intra-building metallic conductors. It should be read in conjunction with [ITU-T K.11] and [ITU-T K.39] which deal with the general economic and technical aspects of protection. This Recommendation does not specify either test levels or particular acceptance criteria for specific equipment. The appropriate test levels and test points are contained in the specific product family or product Recommendation. Therefore, this Recommendation has to be used together with the product family or product Recommendation dealing with the resistibility requirements relevant to the equipment to be tested. If a product family or product Recommendation or clause of it differs from this basic Recommendation, the product family or product Recommendation applies. As product Recommendations are updated, they should be coordinated with and refer to this Recommendation. This Recommendation assumes that the earthing and bonding configurations comply with the appropriate Recommendation related to the type of installation. The tests are type tests and, although they are applicable to a complete system, it is recognized that they may be applied to individual items of equipment during development and design work. In performing the tests, it is necessary to take into account any conditions, either in the unit under test or elsewhere, which may affect the results. Electrostatic discharge (ESD) testing is not covered by this Recommendation and [IEC 61000-4-2] should be followed.
ITU-T (CCITT) Rec. K.45 (2015) -- Resistibility of access network equipment to overvoltages and overcurrents - This Recommendation specifies resistibility requirements and test procedures for telecommunication equipment installed between telecommunication centres and between a telecommunication centre and the customer's premises. Equipment which is attached to or installed within the customer's premises is outside the scope of this Recommendation. [ITU-T K.44], covering basic test methods and test circuits, is an integral part of this Recommendation. It should be read in conjunction with [ITU-T K.11] and [ITU-T K.39] (technical and general economic aspects of protection).
ITU-T (CCITT) Rec. K.48 (2006) -- EMC requirements for each telecommunication network equipment - Product family Recommendation - This Recommendation specifies the emission and immunity requirements for switching, transmission, power, digital mobile base station, wireless LAN, digital radio relay system, digital subscriber line (xDSL) and supervisory equipment. It also describes operational conditions for emission and immunity testing. Performance criteria for immunity tests are also specified. The general operational condition and performance criteria are recommended in ITU-T Rec. K.43. This Recommendation describes the specific testing conditions to be applied to telecommunication network equipment.
ITU-T (CCITT) Rec. K.54 (2004) -- Conducted immunity test method and level at fundamental power frequencies - This Recommendation refers to long-term (i.e. longer than 1 second) voltages induced by a.c. power or electrified railway lines on telecommunication lines.  The Recommendation defines: •the immunity level, which a telecommunication equipment shall comply to; •the test method and procedure, which shall be used to verify the immunity level. The tests are applicable to telecommunication ports connected to external metallic telecommu¬nication lines.
